LUNCH PROGRAM POLICIES / PROCEDURES
- All school lunches are pre-ordered
and prepaid by the week.
- Monthly lunch menus go home
the Friday before the beginning of that month. Weekly lunch order
forms go home every Friday. When student holidays interfere with
this schedule, the weekly lunch order form will be sent home
on the last day of the school week and/or lunch order forms will
be DUE on the first day of the school week (i.e. Labor Day holiday,
etc.). Menus and orders forms may also be found on our website
at cumberlandchristian.org.
- Every child ordering off the
lunch menu must complete an order form for that week. Families
with more than one child must complete a lunch order form for
each child, but may pay with one check so long as all orders
and checks are in the same envelope.
- Please send orders and payments
with your most responsible child. Make checks payable to CCA.
Please do not combine lunch money with tuition, field trips,
book orders, etc. These payments need to be made by separate
checks, please.
- All lunch order forms and full
payment must be received on Monday morning by 8:30 a.m. No exceptions.
In the event your child is late or absent on Monday and you would
like to place an order, please call the school office by 8:30
a.m. Otherwise, please be prepared to send a lunch with your
child for that week.
- Due to our commitment level
with local vendors, we are unable to issue credits or refunds
for meals when your child is late or absent. In this case, your
child's meal will be available for pick-up or it will be stored
in the refrigerator for your child to eat the next day or to
take home.
- There are no heat-ups on Fridays.
Please provide a sack lunch if your child does not order.
- Heat-ups should be securely
labeled with your child's name and teacher's name. Please remind
your child to put their heat-up in the basket provided in their
classroom.
- When sending a heat-up, please
make sure it is ready to serve and is in a microwaveable-safe
dish (i.e. soup cans, etc). We do not have containers to transfer
and serve food items.
- Please do not send Ramen Noodles,
Easy Mac or any other lunches that require preparation. We do
not have the manpower to prepare them. You can, however, prepare
these types of meals at home and send it in a microwaveable-safe
dish.
- Only 5th Grade students will
be allowed to purchase sodas (caffeine-free, of course). 2% milk,
Capri Suns, and water are available to all students in grades
K5 through 5th Grade. If you send a soda with your child, it
must be caffeine-free. Students in K5, 1st and 2nd are not allowed
to bring sodas. Please note that the 2% milk option is on a trial
basis and will be re-evaluated at a later date.
- In the past, we have had a lot
of students to forget to put their heat-ups in the basket provided
in their classroom. As a result, it backs up our lunch schedule;
therefore, beginning September, we will begin the following procedures
for students that forget to turn in their heat-ups:
1st Offense: Student's name goes
on "oops" list.
2nd Offense: A note will be sent home to the parents requesting
their assistance.
3rd Offense: Student will write sentences.
