For eleven straight terms, Cumberland has produced
quality high school graduates. Many of them have not only completed
college but also have furthered their educations in law school,
medical school, and seminary. We can be proud of them. Our efforts
and the efforts of our graduates have been blessed of the Lord.
Most of our high school faculty members have years of tenure
with us. The names Muns, Oxendine, and Martinez shall long be
remembered as founding and faithful members of our faculty. Others
like Holt, Wilkins, Vaughn, Sternberg, and Goins have also left
their mark and enriched our school. Our heritage has been rich.
We have known success and blessing.
Currently, under the leadership of our new principal, we are
taking additional steps toward strengthening our high school
and fine-tuning its operations. Mrs. Brenda (Henderson) Mocsiran
is in her second month as principal, and her influence is already
producing positive results. Watch for new musical and dramatic
productions to be presented by our students. Take notice of reports
about our increased involvement in missions. Keep an eye on the
continuing growth of our athletic programs. Cumberland is building
on many fronts, and the high school is definitely a focal point.
