As I write this article three of our principals
and Mr. Wages are making plans for their trip to the playground
equipment company in Norcross. They are planning to spend approximately
nine thousand dollars on new playground equipment for CCA children.
Negotiations are also going on related to resurfacing the parking
lot and erecting our covered walkway at Westside. Student lockers
are already in at the middle school and gym bleachers are due
in at the high school. I point out these steps of progress to
you because we want our CCA supporters to know that we try diligently
to do what we promise. You helped us raise these funds and we
seek to be prompt about fulfilling our commitments. Such responsible
stewardship builds our trust level, and we need such confidence
as we move ahead to greater challenges. In the past we have used
most of our funding just to meet necessary budget needs. It is
so good to be able to enrich our environment now.
We of your school leadership team are also praying,
planning, and working to further grow and expand Cumberland's
witness and educational offerings. By doing so we seek to keep
our commitment to build and maintain a strong and quality Christian
school system in our area. With God's help and your support we
are keeping our word.
