Dear Friends of Haiti,
The new year has now arrived,
and once again we look forward to the mighty things the Lord
can accomplish for His kingdom through each of us as we continue
to be faithful to His call on our lives.
Because of your love and dedication
to be of service to those much less fortunate than yourselves,
this ministry has experienced a great growth this past year.
Because you cared and were faithful, we were able to provide
support for Pastor Jerome and his flock at Good Shepherd Church
in Carre four Feuilles as never before. We were able to send
medical supplies and much needed medicine during the cholera
outbreak. We were able to send school supplies for the school.
We were also able to provide scholarship assistance for the many
children whose families could not afford even the $30.00 a year
tuition needed to send them to school. Your love extended to
the mountains this year to help the church plant and school in
Fond des Blanc. We were also blessed to be able to help several
individuals with their serious medical needs with medication
and even surgery for the boy from Fond des Blanc.
Your love touched Maudeline,
mother of five and Marie Rose who until recently lived in the
church. We were able to provide financial support for a Bible
School in the summer and supplies for three mission trips that
the "Soul Winning Team" was blessed to hold. You reached
out into the women's and men's prisons with Bible tracts and
into the hospital with meals for those who were sick and hungry
with no one to bring food to them.
Because you were faithful, ¼I
[took] funds to Pastor Jerome targeted for a vehicle for transportation
for his outreach and the people of his church and school.
In addition to all of the above,
God blessed us this year with the commitment of Cumberland
Christian Academy to provide support for the eleven teachers
and staff at the Good Shepherd School. What a tremendous blessing
this has been to the school!
As you know by now, the financial
situation in Haiti has deteriorated this past year. But because
of you, we were able to increase the funds for the feeding program
to $700.00 a month. In addition we were blessed to be able to
provide a small salary to the four dedicated women who cook for
200+ children every day.
We go forth representing each
of you who are truly "A Voice in the Wilderness of Haiti."
We do not go alone, you too go with us! The people we have been
able to help are so grateful for the prayers and support you
have sent. I look forward to the New Year as we continue to work
together to provide help and encouragement to the people of Haiti.
Called to HIS Service,
Elizabeth Seese, Director
