Missions at CCA
Junior and Senior Class Mission Trips
CCA's juniors and seniors participate in a week long mission trip. The Senior Class trip focuses on foreign missions. CCA's seniors travel internationally to places such as Jamaica, Barbados, St. Lucia, and Antigua for a week-long evangelistic mission trip. The teams minister through dramatic presentations, puppet shows, and gospel tract distribution. Thousands have responded to pray to receive Christ on these trips. The Junior Class participates in a week long service-oriented trip to a major US city. They also present the gospel through puppets and drama, but the focus is on work and service projects.
2016 Senior Mission Trip to Barbados
Junior Mission Trip Denver 2015
by Richard Hemphill, School Pastor
The team of 37 packed up and headed to Denver, Colorado. It was the 2015 Junior Class Mission Trip. Many of them had no idea what to expect upon their arrival, but God did, and wow! God was mightily at our side.
From the hungry to the homeless...from the senior citizens who needed to know somebody cares to the worldwide ministry of World Vision who needed volunteers to pack boxes to be shipped around the world...to the bags of clothing for needy children...to serving those with disabilities, we experienced first-hand what Jesus meant when He said, "for as you did it to the least of these...you did it unto Me".
The joy of serving Jesus filled our hearts. The peace of doing the work of the Lord gave us a confident faith. The power of the Holy Spirit gave us the boldness to be Jesus with skin on to a hurting world. We can't remain the same because we have been changed by the power of God. Parents have emailed me about the positive influence the junior class mission trip made in the life of their student.
Praise God for His work in us and through us!
