Requirements for Admission

K3 students must be three years old on or before October 1; K4 students must be four years old by October 1; K5 students must be five years old by October 1. No pre-entrance testing is required at the preschool level.

Class size

K3 classes have a maximum of 10 students per class. K4 and K5 classes have an average of 16 students per class with a teacher and aide.

School Day

K3 and K4 classes are from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm Monday through Friday.
K5 classes are from 8:15 am to 2:30. Students may arrive as early as 7:15.

After School Care

After school care is available for K5 - 5th grade. More information No after school care is provided for K3 and K4 students.

Transportation

Parents are responsible for transporting students to and from school. A carpool list will be provided upon request.

Uniforms

K3 and K4 students may wear comfortable play clothes. K5 students wear a CCA logo shirt with khaki or navy pants or walking shorts; girls may also wear khaki or navy jumper, skirt, or skort. Each student is required to wear a red uniform shirt for field trips and chapel days.

Lunches

For K5 students, a lunch menu is provided at the first of the month. Lunch orders are payable in advance. The price for lunch and a drink is $3.75. Students may also bring sack or reheatable lunches from home. Since K3 and K4 students leave at 12:15 they do not have lunch at school. Parents are asked to send a snack each day for their child.

Testing

CCA administers the Stanford Achievement Test to K5 students. Our students have consistently scored well above the national norms. In 2008 CCA's K5 students scored in the 83-7 National Percentile Rank and at the 1.6 grade level.

Field Trips/Special Events

Throughout the year there are numerous field trips, special visitors, and fun days. Past field trips have included the North Georgia Fair, Cagle's Dairy, The Atlanta Symphony, Chuck-E-Cheese, etc. Community helpers who have visited our campus have included the Fire Department, Police Department, a dentist, and a representative from Mayor Shirley Franklin's office. Fun days have a special theme such as teddy bear day or pajama day.

Curriculum

We use A BEKA Book Publications Curriculum. This curriculum provides students with a strong foundation in phonics while presenting foundational teachings about the Bible, Jesus Christ, and salvation.

2009/2010 Tuition

Annual tuition may be paid in 10 monthly installments. In addition, a $550 application/matriculation fee is due for each student registering for enrollment.

Requirements for Admission

Interested families should contact the school office (770-819-6437) to schedule an interview with the principal. They will need to provide a recent report card, standardized test scores, birth certificate, and immunization records. An admissions test may be required.
