CCA's High School is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission. Accreditation qualifies our graduates to receive the Hope Scholarship and assures parents that a school meets nationally approved standards for education.
How do I apply for admission?

Enrollment of new students for the fall term begins March 1. Admission decisions are based on test results, transcripts, personal interviews, and available space.
All prospective parents must interview with a principal. Students must attend the interview if entering grades 6-12.
Following the interview, the parent receives an application form. After the application form is returned parents will be notified when their child is accepted. At this time the application/matriculation fee is due. This is an annual, non-refundable/non-transferable charge for each student (new or returning) registering for enrollment at Cumberland Christian Academy. It includes the following: application fee, student insurance, testing fees, basic picture package, yearbook, student pass to all home athletic events, graduation fee, art fee, basic supply fee, and use of consumable and non-consumable books. The payment of this fee holds a place for the student for the following school year.
Students entering grades 1-6 must provide current standardized test scores and may be required to take an entrance exam or visit the classroom.
Students entering grades 6-12 must show by standardized test scores and prior grade completion that he or she is capable of doing grade level work.
An updated copy of the Georgia School Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231) and a certified birth certificate must be submitted by the first day of school.
Admissions are contingent upon available space and are subject to final approval.
Do you offer athletics?
Yes. CCA's sports include basketball, golf, volleyball, football, baseball, softball, cross country, tennis, and cheerleading. Cumberland is a member of the Independent Christian Schools of Georgia and Alabama/Greater Atlanta Christian Athletic Conference. This affiliation provides the players with excellent competition, tournament play, and Christian fellowship. More information is available at our athletics page.
What curriculum do you use?
Various Christian curriculums are used according to grade level. Our curriculum reflects our Christian perspective and is designed to prepare the student for college. The Bible is an integral part of all curriculum.
How do you handle discipline?
CCA generally follows the written works of Dr. James Dobson, of Focus on the Family, in disciplining children.
What is your faculty like?
Our faculty is committed to Christian living under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Teachers hold college degrees and must demonstrate by word and deed their allegiance to the Christian lifestyle. No member of the faculty or staff is authorized at any time to impose his or her non-essential beliefs upon the students. Strict adherence to the biblical basics and confinement within them is required of the faculty and staff.

We seek students that are willing to grow not only intellectually, but also emotionally, physically, morally, and spiritually. Academically, we look for average or above average students who can succeed in a traditional classroom environment. CCA students are diverse in terms of economic, ethnic, and denominational backgrounds. They exhibit high academic and personal achievement. We expect our students to conduct themselves in a way that will bring honor to Jesus Christ, their families, and their school.
What about standardized testing?
The Stanford Achievement Test is administered to students in grades K5 through 12. CCA administers the PLAN test to 9th graders and the PSAT to grades 10 and 11 during the fall each year. We offer these tests for the purpose of preparing students for the SAT and ACT.
